Story

I’m raising money for Leukaemia care.

This is condition affects the lives of so many and every story matters. As with other times I’ve raised funds, this is in honour of members of the uk wrestling community, most notably Jamie Stacey (James Castle).

In the past few years I’ve lost several friends in this community . It’s one that either directly or indirectly has taken care of its own. In part this is for Jamie. I didn’t know him well . I do know many of his friends well and how much he meant to them. Many of those friends went out of their way to help or offer support when we lost our brother Ian a few years ago and this should in some part help pay them back and honour Jamie’s memory .

I’ve usually done one event per year .

This year, it’s going to be a lot more.

September 14th: Thames Path Challenge 100km

October 5th: Epping Forest 50 km

April ‘25…the big one. I’m heading back to the desert for 250km, self supported running across the Sahara in the grand daddy of them all and self billed toughest foot race on the planet in The Marathon Des Sables.

And that’s the warm up for round temp of the Canadian Death Race in August ‘25.

And that’s where I’ll stop listing for now . Maybe it ends up one a month. Who knows? It will be something to find out though.
