Thank you for visiting my sponsorship page. Here’s a little bit of background to my London Marathon journey…

Lots of you will know that I had a place to run the London marathon with my friend Becca back in 2020. Sadly, it got cancelled due to Covid not only in 2020, but the following year too. Then, in February 2022, Jon and I found out we were pregnant with our daughter, and so my marathon dreams were put on hold once again!

I gave birth to Lilly on 13th August 2022. She was born at 29 weeks, weighing an impressive 2lb 12 ounces, but due to an infection and little lungs, she lived for only 6 hours. Becca went ahead and ran the marathon in October 2022, suddenly running for a charity very close to our hearts. Running in memory of Lilly, we raised just over £6000 for Action.

The marathon wasn’t an option again in 2023 because on 8th August that year, I gave birth to Lilly’s little brother, Arthur. After 2 pregnancies in 2 years, a marathon in 2024 was a bit too much for me to handle, both physically and mentally. But now, 2025 is the year and I am excited (and very nervous!) to have a place.

Since losing Lilly, Jon and I, along with our friends and family, have done lots of fundraising for charities such as Tommys, Ickle Pickles and Sands. Now, I look forward to once again fundraising for Action Medical Research and I’m really grateful that they’ve given me one of their 2025 London Marathon places!

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. For 65 years they’ve helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people and in particular research into premature birth and pregnancy complications.

We hope to raise as much money as possible for Action, to help fund research that will mean other families don’t go through the heartbreak we did.
