Story
In May 2006 our family discovered the Ellenor Hospice.
Dad had developed lung cancer and as his illness progressed he was more and more dependent on those around him for his care, until his care was 24/7.
The team at Ellenor were amazing! From providing respite for us as a family as well as palliative care for Dad. To him they were his angels, which possibly meant he thought of himself as Charlie!
The care they provided Dad was invaluable and during the years that followed I’ve done a few things to raise funds to help keep them going, including cycle rides and a sky dive.
In 2024 I’ll be taking my biggest challenge yet - the London Marathon!
In October 2022 I started to get into running and over the last year I’ve clocked up a few 10km races and recently a couple of half marathons. But I’ve never run further than 22km… so just a another 20km to go!
Ellenor hospice can only provide their amazing services from donations from fundraising, and so I’d be hugely grateful for anything you can spare - every little bit helps to keep them going - so they can be the angels for other families of Gravesend and beyond.
Thank you 🙏🏻
