Story
Many of you will know I love running and have done so since I was young taking part in school and club, district and county competitions. However, never have I ever run this far and I have to say I am a little nervous about taking on the Birmingham Half Marathon. I've watched my mom run it, friends run it but now it's my turn!
I've chosen to run for QAC as, not only does my mom work for them, but as a physio I have worked with young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities over the last few years through Star College and a specialist neuro clinic and know the difference charity funding can make.
Every step taken in the Birmingham Half Marathon is a step forward in supporting young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.
Every day Queen Alexandra Charity supports these young adults through education (Queen Alexandra College), Residential Services and Community Services.
Every bead of sweat spent and every pound raised enables the charity to fund improvements to facilities, provide additional activities, offer assisted technology bespoke to student/client individual needs, provides a community base and so much more.
Every penny counts! I'd be so grateful if you could donate in support of my challenge.
Wish me luck!
