We support local brain injury survivors to help improve life after brain injury

Story

Thanks for visiting my justgiving page.

So, I've hit my 40s, and apparently this means I have to start a podcast or run a marathon. While I am not ruling out starting a podcast, I have instead at this point decided to run the Boston* half marathon. This will be the longest I have ever ran (previously longest was 10km) and I have even drafted a training program!

Over the past year I've spent a lot of time in Lincolnshire due to my work in offshore wind that takes me there on a regular basis. I've previously supported better known national charities, but this time around I've chosen to raise money for a small Lincolnshire branch of the brain injury charity, Headway.

Headway provide support, guidance, understanding and signposting to individuals, family members and carers affected by an Acquired Brain Injury that live in the county of Lincolnshire.

Brain injury is more common than you might think and it is often referred to as a hidden disability as symptoms are not always obvious. Brain injuries are often are incurred very suddenly and without warning, for example car accidents. I have friends who have been affected by acquired brain injury and seen the devastation and stress it can bring to families. I have also heard via those friends how wonderful Headway were as an organisation in helping people get through these stressful times.

Please donate a little if you can to this worthy cause, and also please send your training tips!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for your support!

Best wishes,

Jenny
