On February 23rd 2025, myself and Donna are taking part in the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon in order to raise funds for Folly Wildlife Rescue.

Folly Wildlife Rescue was founded over 30 years ago by Annette and Dave Risley who had an incredible passion for saving animals in need. Today, Folly Wildlife Rescue admits over 3000 sick, injured or orphaned animals every year. A dedicated team of staff and volunteers work tirelessly round the clock, all with the one aim of returning animals back to the wild.

Recently, Folly Wildlife Rescue sadly faced closure, with increasing costs and a slowdown in legacies, the charity found itself in a dangerous situation and it left a significant strain on funds and resources. However, people rallied to save Folly and raised an incredible amount to keep the charity open with a hopeful future.

We are running the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon in February to ensure Folly continues to have bright future, to keep saving animals in need and to carry on spreading the word.
