Enhancing the care and treatment of patients at Poole, Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals, by fundraising to provide enhanced facilities, state of the art equipment and support NHS staff health, wellbeing and development.

Story

In October 2023 I was admitted to Bournemouth Hospital (by ambulance) with acute chest pains.

The swift and thorough actions of the Emergency Dept. meant I was quickly seen to and diagnosed with Pulmonary Embolisms 🫁 (blood clots on my lungs). This is a life threatening condition that could have had a different outcome were it not for our Emergency Services.

My passion is running. I am an ambassador for the National Running Show. Having previously completed marathons and an ultra, I am now thankful to be getting back to being active and training for events again.

Over the course of the next year or so, I will be completing a series of challenges, totalling 102.7 miles. These include Conquer The Vedder (15k trail race in Canada), Race to The Stones (50k ultramarathon), Great South Run (10 miles), Valencia Marathon and London Marathon 2025 (I have a deferred ballot place).

I am aiming to raise £10k for the Bournemouth Hospital 🏥 Emergency Department for vital services for our community.

I am very grateful for any support ❤️
