Story

On Saturday 14th September, Julie Gibbs, Rudding Park Golf Club’s Lady Captain, and seven other ladies will take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge specifically to help raise money to support Saint Michael’s Motor Neurone Disease Clinical Nurse Specialist who provides expert support for people living with the condition, and their families, in the Harrogate district.

The team supporting Julie will be her sister, Claire Gibbs, her stepdaughter, Aimee McHale, Tidi Kwidini, Richa Tyagi, Rosie Ellis Robertson, Sophie Orton and Lulu Rawlins.

Everyone of the ladies joining Julie has their own story behind why they want to take on this challenge. Mostly because they’re all a bit bonkers for a walking challenge and that they want to push themselves to see if they can beat the 12-hour challenge time limit. However, the main reason in light of the recent passing of Rob Burrows, is specifically to help raise money to support Saint Michael’s Motor Neurone Disease Clinical Nurse Specialist who provides expert support for people living with the condition, and their families, in the Harrogate district.
