Bognor 10K for Dementia support funding

Bognor 10K · 18 May 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
I'm running my first 10k to raise funds for families and individuals affected by dementia. Two of my family members are living with dementia, and it's been heartbreaking to witness their rapid decline in recent years.
The toll it has taken on my family has been immense, and it's the reason I’m dedicating this run to them.
Through this run, I aim to raise money and awareness for dementia, a cause close to my heart.
Recently, I volunteered as a hairdresser at Sage House, a dementia support hub, where I met amazing people - volunteers, caregivers, and patients - who all showed me the profound impact this place has. I had the privilege of working with clients, many of whom were caring for loved ones with dementia, and I saw firsthand how Sage House provided them with much needed support.
Sage House plays a vital role in the community, yet it faces constant challenges to maintain funding, especially since it is one of the only local dementia hubs in the area.
With 17,000 people in West Sussex currently living with dementia, a number expected to grow, the need for this support is only increasing. Sage House is transforming dementia care by offering a full range of services under one roof, from pre-diagnosis to end-of-life care, and even post-bereavement support.
This is why I’m running - to support Sage House and ensure they can continue their incredible work.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. Please join me in supporting this amazing cause. Thank you!♥️
