Cycling the length of Vietnam to Aid Asylum Seekers
Fundraising for St. Augustine's Centre Halifax
Fundraising for St. Augustine's Centre Halifax
UPDATE:
My bicycle was stolen in Dalat after about 400km of cycling, a really unfortunate way for this challenge to end, but thank you for all of the donations they go to a great cause!
St Augustines supports refugees and people seeking asylum, I believe in providing support and assistance to those who are fleeing persecution and seeking safety and refuge.
This fundraiser is a way to contribute to their mission and make a positive impact in the lives of those in need.
For this fundraiser, I've decided on a challenging journey - cycling the length of Vietnam, from Ho Chi Minh (south) to the capital Hanoi, covering over 1500 miles of beautiful landscapes and chaotic cities.
My decision to take on this expedition came as soon as I entered Vietnam. I had previously hitchhiked around Thailand and Cambodia and I was looking for more of a challenge. For which I could use as a fundraiser.
Through this, I hope to raise awareness and support for the St Augustines Centre.
