Jack runs the London Marathon for Mind!

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Hello,
Yes this is actually happening, and the thought of it currently makes me feel sick, especially as I'm making this page post Christmas and I am yet to start my training.
If you said to me across my 28 (nearly 29) years that I'd ever be running a marathon, I'd have laughed in your face and said absolutely no chance. I hate running, and always have done, it's only this year I completed my first 5k, and that wasn't enjoyable, so attempting to run 42k is not going to be pleasant in the slightest.
It's pretty clear that I have not signed up for this for the physical gains or for the enjoyment of running. I signed up (low key hoping to be rejected) after watching close friends tackle marathons over the years to give back to charities close to their hearts.
I’ve chosen to run the 2025 London Marathon for Mind, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of those struggling with mental health issues. Statistics show that 1 in 4 people experience mental health challenges, and if you’re still reading this, chances are you’ve seen someone close to you go through it, perhaps without getting the support they needed. That has to change.
Mind is here to fight for mental health, and I want to do my part in supporting their incredible work.

Thank you for reading. Hopefully see you with a pint in hand at the finish line!
