Story
Why we are Supporting HospiceCare
Rothbury WI chose to support HospiceCare this year because it provides a vital local service. We decided to do a secret skinny dip to raise much-needed funds for HospiceCare after it had been suggested as a joke at one of our meetings earlier in the year- only to find that several members said they would do it - so the Secret Skinny Dip Event was born!
As a demure group of ladies, the exact date and location of the skinny dip is being kept top secret, but we promise to take a post-event photograph to prove that we have kept to our word. We have set ourselves a target to raise £1,000, but we would love to smash through that figure - and with your support, we can do that! So please give what you can - no matter what size of donation large or small - EVERY penny counts. The money we raise this year will contribute towards helping local families such as these:
"Your fantastic team recently looked after my mum in her final days and we cannot thank you enough. They are the most incredible, caring, and special people and they made a massive difference to her and us in her last days. We feel very lucky to have had their care for her and were very surprised to hear that you are a charity-run organisation." (Hospice at Home)
"Your Hospice care team was professional at all times. Treated both my husband and I with the utmost respect and understanding. Made a very sad time bearable as they did everything they could to make my husband comfortable." (Hospice at Home)
