Story

On 2nd June this year, myself and my friend Kev took part in the 230km Ultra Marathon in Peru. 5 marathons in 5 days through the treacherous Amazon Rainforest, making this one of the toughest races in the world.

I did this event in aid of St Michael's Hospice, a charity very close to my heart. My Mum spent her final days here in 2020, being cared for by the amazing people at St Michael's. They provide a sanctuary for people and their families when they need it most.

Mine, Kev and my fiancée Danielle’s lives have all been affected with losing a parent to cancer and giving back to St Michael's will be an honour.

Prior to starting training for this event last October, I had never previously run even a half marathon! So as expected a 230km distance, 4000m climb, humidity, altitude and sleeping in hammocks was quite the challenge!

Any donations, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Ross
