Rossella does Strictly for Bury Hospice 2025

Strictly Best Foot Forward for Bury Hospice 2025 · 22 March 2025 ·
In 2018 I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The following 2 years were not nice, having to undergo days of harrowing therapy and tests. In the end I had a bone marrow transplant as a last chance to heal.
A couple of months before my transplant, my husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had a kidney removed. I couldn't even be with him as I was in hospital during his whole ordeal.
Such a heavy toll for any family to experience, but our stories have a happy ending: we are both here, fine and well.
Sadly the same cannot be said for so many other people affected by cancer, people we knew and people we didn't. My heart goes out to each one of them.
I have known about Bury Hospice and what they do for a while now, the way they help patients and their families cope with their pain and grief is unbelievable. However they can only do so much because the money is not available.
This is the reason why I have decided to join forces with my friend John Bugeja and do Strictly for Bury Hospice 2025.
It costs £4.5 million pounds to run Bury Hospice, and as a charity we only receive 13% of this figure from the government leaving us to raise all of the majority ourselves. Every donation makes a difference.
