Hi everyone,

I am raising money for an amazing charity called Play Action International. They work to transform empty fields into vibrant playgrounds and implement play based learning strategies in rural schools throughout East Africa. Their work is so important as it ensures that the children have a safe and secure environment in which they can learn and develop. This June, I will be spending 4 weeks in Uganda on one of their many projects.

Play is crucial for childhood development and learning, and your support will provide the opportunity for these children to reach their full potential.

As a result of playgrounds being built during previous projects:

- 74% of children gave the 'The Playground' as a reason to attend school.

- 98% of schools report an increase in attendance.

- 83% of teachers reported improvements in children's attention and behaviour in class.

Our work will give the children access to a proper childhood that many of us took for granted.
