Ross's Row from London to Felpham, Bognor Regis
We provide children's hospice care to children and families across Sussex

Story

This will be the final rowing challenge of the trilogy. My first was from Chichester Harbour to Felpham Sailing Club, Bognor, the second was quite a bit further - from Felpham Sailing Club all the way to and round the Isle of Wight and back to the Club which covered 100 miles but this time will be nearly double that! I will be launching from a slipway in Battersea passing The Houses of Parliament on The Thames to Felpham Sailing Club Bognor Regis which we have estimated at 192 miles (300km) and will take me out toward Essex and the all around the coastline covering Kent and the majority of the Sussex coast line too. The journey should take me around 6 days and I am doing this alone in my 60yr old fishing boat.

I am taking on this challenge to help raise funds for Chestnut Tree House after learning about the fantastic care and support they give to so many local children and their families.

Chestnut Tree House is a children’s charity providing hospice care and community support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

There are hundreds of children and young people in your local community who are unlikely to reach adulthood. And even more parents and family members who need care, help and support on their journey, as they don't know how long they will have together.

Your support helps families to spend time together. Precious moments that give a lifetime of memories.
