Story

NOBLE GP at the BLMRA 12 Hour endurance lawn mower race 2024.

Yes, it's that time of year again, when mower racers are sorting out their teams and machines for the biggest race of the year.

I love the atmosphere at the 12 Hour, there's nothing quite like it. Again, just like at the BLMRA 500 last year, we are trying to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK charity in memory of the association's founder.

Our team is as ready as we can possibly be. The aim is to finish and ideally, do better than we did last year. The line up of drivers is slighty different. Drivers this year are myself, Ross Corbett (also team principal), Graham Ives, and our newest member Daryl Radwell. Daryl replaces Roy Corbett from last year who was the oldest person to ever do the event at 79, a record that will be hard to beat. Additionally, in the pit we have Rebecca Sayers and BLMRA veteran Les Goodman who previously owned and raced this machine.

and now the blurb from The BLMRA.

Racing lawn mower endurance event

50 mowers will be racing at up to 50mph over a track laid out in a field near Petersfield in Hampshire. The race starts at 20:00 on Saturday 10/8/2023 and by the time it ends the following day the winner will have covered over 400 miles.

The track is opposite the Trooper Inn GU32 1BD.

Tickets available online at 12hour.co.uk

We are racing to raise funds for prostate cancer research as we all know how important it is. Prostate cancer is a killer and it contributed to the recent death of our founder.
