Alpine Experience 2025
Campaign by Spinal Research (RCN 1151015)
An exclusive team of Spinal Research supporters will take on this unique experience hiking three peaks in three days, whilst raising money to give hope to those living with a spinal cord injury.

Story

I will be taking on 3 peaks over 3,000 metres, in 3 countries, in just 3 days, all to raise vital funds for Spinal Research.

Your support will help Spinal Research fund more research into finding a cure for the devastating effects of paralysis to give hope to those living with a spinal cord injury.

When I was 21 I broke my back in a snowboarding injury in New Zealand. I had major surgery to insert titanium screws and steel rods to re-inforce the damaged vertebrae - see the photo of what once held me up!. However, I was very fortunate to avoid spinal cord damage and any form of paralysis. That immense luck caused me to research potential cures for spinal injuries and I have enjoyed raising money for Spinal Research ever since.

I've done 10k runs, Olympic and Ironman trialthlon, but never before attempted anything in the high alpine environment, so I'm looking forward to the challenge and hope you will generously support this 3 peak feat by making a donation.

Thank you so much for your support.
