Martlets is a local charity providing essential care to people affected by terminal illness in Brighton and Hove, and surrounding areas. Their expert teams provide the very best care and support, helping patients and their loved ones to live life to the full during the precious time they have together.

Most people receive care from them in their own homes. Others choose to spend their final days on the Martlets inpatient unit, or to join them as inpatients for respite care or symptom management. Outpatients also visit their hospice for pain relief, physiotherapy, counselling, welfare advice and social activities.

Martlets care is free thanks to the support of local people, businesses, and trusts. An NHS grant covers a portion of their costs, but they rely on the community to fund most of our vital services.

I've witnessed firsthand the incredible impact hospices have on individuals and their families, having experienced the compassionate care provided by places like the Martlets during my Granddad's final days. Seeing the comfort and support he received to make his passing as peaceful as possible brought peace to me and my family. I've committed to running the Brighton Marathon to raise funds for a local hospice. Your support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
