Story
Last November I had the ACL and MCL in my knee reconstructed. I wanted to do a small triathlon this year to prove to myself that I could. I’ll be swimming, cycling and running on Sunday 17th Sept.
Post my op, I tried to reduce my painkillers so I could keep breastfeeding my 3 month old. So I need to prove that the everyday pain, juggling a baby and physio, training, and the depression that followed would have been worth it.
With the news of the earthquake in Morocco and increasing death toll in Libya because of the extreme flooding I was wondering if you might consider sponsoring me?
Anything you’d like to contribute will go to UNICEF working in Libya. No pressure at all!
Thank you so much.
More info:
On 10 and 11 September massive Mediterranean Storm Daniel ripped through Libya, causing more than 5,000 deaths and leaving 10,000 missing. The deadly storm caused two dams to collapse near the port of Derna, leading to catastrophic floods.
People have been stranded in their homes with no electricity and access to water. Some have been evacuated and given temporary shelter in schools, hotels, and relatives’ houses. Three main hospitals and four clinics are completely out of service.
UNICEF is responding urgently to this disaster, supporting the Government of Libya to reach affected children and families with life-saving supplies and services.
Please give what you can.
