Story
As I near the end of my year as Lady Captain of the Oaks Golf Club, I am continuing my mission to raise as much money and awareness as possible for my chosen charity - The Children's Trust. Whilst the quiz night, race night and Captains' Day have been successful fundraisers, I think it's now time I cash in on my fear of heights and throw myself out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft. So that is the plan.
On 14th April 2024 I will be taking to the skies over Kent and skydiving back to earth. To say that this is outside of my comfort zone would be something of an understatement! Please donate what you can to support me in my exhilarating adventure. Thank you.
The Children's Trust are the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury and neurodisability. They deliver rehabilitation, education and community services through skilled teams who work with children and young people, and their families. My connection with the trust started back in my GOSH days in the 1960s. Tadworth Court was the country branch of Great Ormond Street Hospital before it became the focal point of the Children's Trust.
