🦽🩵 Four years ago I was lucky enough to benefit from mass community action, when you guys bought me my first active wheelchair and power attachment, successfully getting me out the front door again. I am so grateful.

I am now, once again, asking for your help.

Since my last campaign, I have become paralysed from the chest down and I now need a more specialised chair and physiotherapy that the NHS cannot give me. I’m too complicated!

I’ve teamed up with Aspire, a charity devoted to people like me with spinal cord injuries, and my trainer Dale from DR Inclusive Therapies. Together we will handcycle the Edinburgh Marathon 10k and the Scottish Half Marathon to raise money towards this vital equipment.

Anyone who knew me pre-injury knows how important moving my body is to my mental health. I hope that in pushing this body to new limits I will discover levels of endurance and clarity not yet discovered in this new body of mine. I also hope that by being seen cycling around town on my excellent Batec that YOU guys helped raise the money for, I will be spreading the awareness that disabled people can be active too!
