Story
The Glasgow’s Great Office Bake Off will start on the 13th of Sept in support of Turner & Townsend’s charity partner, Action for Children! We’d love to get you involved – whether that’s through signing up to bake or supporting us with fundraising efforts in the lead up.
Each week we will have a baker and they will bring a cake into the office. We will kindly ask you to donate £2 per portion. All the money raised is going towards the Turner & Townsend Education Fund, which breaks down barriers to education for the most vulnerable children and young people through providing grants to purchase school essentials for children. With 250,000 children living in poverty in Scotland, this fundraising challenge will make a huge difference to young people in local communities and more widely across the UK.
How your fundraising will make a difference
The money raised will go towards the Turner & Townsend Education Fund which breaks down barriers to education for the most vulnerable children and young people. Imagine walking to school in the winter without a warm coat. Imagine trying to learn when your uniform is too small and uncomfortable. This is a harsh reality for so many children and young people living in poverty, but with your generous support, we can continue to provide grants so that every child and young person can build a brighter future.
We can’t do it without you. By playing your part and helping to raise £200, you will be directly supporting 5 children and young people with the basic school essentials so that they can access an education. It was reported that 250,000 children and young people in Scotland are living in poverty. Thanks to your fundraising and generous support, you will be supporting children and young people both in Glasgow, Scotland and more widely across the UK.
