Mothers’ Union are enabling real change and improvement to the lives of a great many people and their families. The money raised here will go towards the Literacy Programme where our support is already empowering women to release themselves from the cycle of poverty.

Not being able to read and write means women are prevented from participating economically and socially. It severly limits their understanding of their rights and health issues. MU literacy circles are already making a difference in four dioceses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but now we need to expand to four more dioceses.

Together we are giving the gift of hope for a brighter future, and women are going from illiteracy to influence, and that is something to celebrate.
