Story
2024 will mark the 30-year anniversary of the horrific road traffic accident that changed my life. My husband and I had to learn to walk again, relearn how to live our lives and most of all, we learnt the true meaning of the words: “Life’s too short”.
In recognition and celebration of this and my 60th birthday, I’ll be pushing myself and taking on a series of new challenges. From the Great North Run to the London Marathon 2024, from The Aqua Bike Challenge to my first ever Ultra Marathon, it’s not going to be easy…
But every day matters and I know that raising vital funds for Hospiscare will help me to keep going, even when things get really, really tough.
For those of you who don’t know: If you live in Exeter, Mid or East Devon, Hospiscare is your local adult hospice charity. Should you or a loved one need care for any type of terminal or life-limiting illness, their professional team of doctors and nurses will be there for you.
I’ve been privileged to work for Hospiscare for almost 6 years now, so I know what a vital service they provide for our community, and I know what a difference we can make when we come together to support end-of-life care. For example..
• A donation of £25.60 could help to fund an hour of expert care on their specialist ward, enabling patients and their families to make the most of precious time
So please, help me help them and be part of something remarkable. Show your support and donate today! Anything you can give would be very gratefully received.
Thank you so much x
