We want to rewild Britain to help people and nature flourish together

Story

I've been on this planet for 40 years. For 32 of them, I've had Arthritis. I now have 2 replaced hips, a replaced knee and a replaced ankle! I'm waiting for the other ankle to be replaced next year. But other than that, my health is very good! I'd like to pit myself against the highest mountain in England and Wales and see what this battered body can do. I'm hoping to do the climb alongside my remarkably spritely 75 year old mother.

If there was one thing I could wish for on my 40th birthday it would be to improve the state of nature globally and in our country. Seeing wildlife is one of the things that brings me the greatest joy. It makes living on earth both possible and wonderful all at once. I would therefore like to raise money for Rewilding Britain who are doing fantastic work to support receptive landowners to re-wild their land. If I owned more land - this is what I'd want to do with it!

Thank you so much for supporting me in this effort!

Our aim is the mass restoration of ecosystems in Britain. We want to reverse the decline in nature so that living systems and our sense of wonder can thrive. Rewilding offers hope for wildlife, for humanity, for the planet. It’s our opportunity to leave the world in a better state than it is today.
