Story

I’m running the Brighton 10k to raise funds for Fabrica’s creative mental health projects, which are a lifeline for so many people across Brighton & Hove and Sussex. As the cost-of-living crisis deepens, Fabrica’s work is more vital than ever—helping to reduce isolation, develop resilience, and ease the pressure on health services.

Here’s what your £150 fundraising target could support:

Creative wellbeing for people with dementia – Art materials and refreshments for ten Drawing and Making sessions, where people with dementia and their carers can connect and create.

Feeding local families – Six days of healthy, nutritious lunches for up to 100 children and families at Chomp at Fabrica.

Community through making – Tools and materials for three months of Men in Sheds, a safe space for men struggling with mental health.

Support for refugees and isolated adults – Materials for a six-week Renew & Repurpose course, helping people learn new skills while restoring furniture.

Empowering men through creativity – A day of support from an experienced peer facilitator for our Men Who Make programme, reaching men with severe mental illness.

I know you have sponsored me to run longer distances in the past but thought this was a good charity and it's where Tamara sometimes work. Please give anything you can, nice one.
