Story
Market Rasen & Louth RUFC's Colts team (U17/U18) is raising money for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, set up by the late rugby player, Doddie Weir, to raise awareness of motor neuron disease (MND), for which there is currently no cure, to fund research into effective treatments and to support sufferers.
Anyone who has witnessed the impact that MND can have on the lives of young and healthy people, including former rugby players Doddie Weir, Rob Burrow and Ed Slater, and many others from all walks of life, can't fail to be moved by their stories and their bravery.
On 5 May, 20 players from the Colts team took part in a 15-mile, five-hour charity walk across the Lincolnshire Wolds, from Louth to Market Rasen, to show our support for MND sufferers, past and present, and to raise funds for the Foundation.
If you can support our fundraising venture, even by donating just £1, or more if you can, that would mean so much to us and the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.
