Story
I will be completing the Three peaks challenge on 6th of June which means climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England & Wales & will attempt to complete all 3 within 24 hours.
This involves walking 23 miles (37 km), climbing 3408m (11,182 feet) & driving a distance of 462 miles. (thankfully have a driver to allow for sleep between mountains)
First up is Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands (1345m), followed by Scafell Pike in the Lake District in Cumbria (978m) & then the last peak is in Snowdon in Snowdonia National Park which is 1085m high & won’t be starting it until 2am so means the final climb will be done in total darkness.
This challenge is being attempted in memory of my brother John who passed away from MS in January 2010 aged 46, whilst John battled with MS over a number of years the society offered him so much support and guidance. Therefore, i can't think of a more deserving charity to raise funds for, to help them continue to support others.
