Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Our Personal Injury Webinars take place throughout March and April 2022. We don't charge people to attend our webinars but we do ask that delegates make a donation to our chosen charity. The suggested donation is £5 per delegate.
This year we are raising funds for our local Nottingham, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire Headway charities. Headway works very hard to provide support and to improve life after brain injury. All donations will be divided equally between both charities. Please help us reach our target of £500.
"Every 90 seconds someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury.
Following brain injury your life can change in an instant. A bit like a software update on your phone. What was safe, familiar and easy is now oddly confusing and takes so much longer to master. Brain injury is an unwanted update. Being left with a new version of yourself you’ve known all your life and furiously trying to see a way through the overwhelming fog of confusion. Headways Nottingham, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire exist to offer support, guidance and longer-term rehabilitation opportunities for those people experiencing just that. We respond to a desperate need for brain injury specific services in the East Midlands. We aim to help people get to know the person they’ve become and offer the opportunity to explore the new feelings, reactions and behaviours amongst a safe and understanding brain injury family. We know that through exploring the physical, educational, cognitive, emotional and creative capabilities of our client base, we can improve life for individuals, their families and carers, supporting each person to live with hope for a bright future and without feeling limited by their experiences of disability.
