Event: Walk in Her Name 2024, from 1 March 2024 to 31 March 2024
This March, sign up to Walk in Her Name and walk 100km for every woman with ovarian cancer. Walk in her name isn’t just a challenge. It’s a community coming together, uniting for a world where every woman will survive ovarian cancer.

Story

Last year I walked 200km in March and raised money for ovarian cancer. I am doing it again this year. Why? Because there are way too many women diagnosed with the illness when it is already too late. Let’s change that together.

Why now? March is Ovarian Cancer awareness month, and we are coming together to “Walk in her name” and raise money for Ovarian Cancer Action. We will each walk 100km from 1st March – 31st March 2024. I will try to walk more than 100 km again this year. But I am not doing it alone.

🔴⚪️Arsenal Women FC supporters have decided to come together to raise awareness and important funds in memory of June Mead.

We hope that by raising awareness amongst our fan base, we will highlight symptoms that some may otherwise choose to ignore. We want to support those with Ovarian Cancer to witness the milestones of their own children and families.

Last year we raised nearly £12,000 and would love to do the same again this year. Please support us, in any capacity, by donating, joining us by walking 100km in March or just by sharing. Please follow our journey on social media.

Ovarian cancer is the biggest gynaecological killer in the UK claiming the life of a woman every 2 hours. Many women still do not know the symptoms leading to late diagnosis. We are determined to drive up survival rates by funding world-class research into causes, treatments and prevention.
