I am doing a walk during the longest night of the year. I will be following the route used for the 5 Valleys Walk. This walk is 20+ miles and includes 5 climbs and the 5 valleys of Stroud., 21 December 2024

Story

My wife Marj has been in Horsefall House for a year now and I am very impressed with the care she has received during her dementia journey. In donating for my challenge you will provide funds for the extra things that the care teams can use to enhance the enjoyment of the time the residents spend there. Thank you.

Horsfall House is a not-for-profit Nursing Home with a thriving Day Centre and Home Care service based in Minchinhampton. They deliver care to residents and clients who require support throughout the day or 24-hour care, including those living with dementia as well as offering palliative care, respite and short breaks.

They deliver outstanding care for both the physically infirm and those living with dementia and severe memory problems, as well as offering Palliative Care, Respite and Short Breaks. Every area of the home has been designed and built with residents and visitors in mind, with the aim of making the transition into care as easy and stress-free as possible.
