Story
As Broadway, TV and film productions, and performing arts venues across the country are just barely getting back on their feet, those in the entertainment community need our help now more than ever. SO many people in our industry are still out of work and need financial assistance.
The Fund offers counseling, crisis intervention, health insurance support, linkage to outside resources, wellness programs and financial planning. The Fund also manages emergency assistance funds and offers support and consultations for organizational leadership.
I am raising funds and donating $5.00 from every DVD/Blu-Ray that I sell online of my documentary "Marsha Hunt's Sweet Adversity" in honor of my dear friend and mentor Marsha Hunt (2017-2022). (click on "Marsha Hunt" link to hear Marsha discuss her groundbreaking work on one of Hollywood's first telethons in 1951)

In 1946, Marsha was a board member with the Screen Actors Guild. At that time, there were two bloody labor strikes happening in Hollywood. She knew first hand the economic downturn that happens when strikes occur. The financial crisis doesn't end when the stirkes end. It takes time to get back on your feet financially.
If Marsha were alive today, she'd be pounding the pavement, raising funds to help her fellow industry members. I'm grateful to take up the torch for her. GIVE what you can and please consider purchasing a copy of my film Marsha was a trailblazing activist for SEVEN decades. Her story not only inspiring but it is a lesson in civility. It is a very timely story for our times.
Thank you for supporting my fundraiser! You will help ensure that people who work in the spotlight and behind the scenes can pay their rent or mortgage, feed their families, find work and afford health insurance. You can help the Entertainment Community Fund continue to be the lifeline they need.
