Story
My daughter Israelle is severely to profoundly deaf and relies on two hearing aids and lipreading. She also needs a lot of support in school, to give her the opportunity to thrive alongside her peers. With all that she goes through, she still does ballet, Kung-fu and she models! Israelle is already an inspiration to others (mainly me!) just because of her ever-resilient character.
This money can go towards providing teachers with more Deaf Awareness training and making educational settings more inclusive.
The NDCS are the children's biggest advocate for a better quality of life and where children like Israelle have no boundaries in their future and become equal to those who have hearing.
I'm taking on the 310,000 steps challenge this October for the National Deaf Children's Society, to support over 50,000 Deaf children and young people across the UK. Your contribution will make a huge impact. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.
