Story

30 years ago on 6th April 1994, I underwent lifesaving & lifechanging surgery to remove a Brain Tumour (Acoustic Neuroma). In the following weeks, months and years, my family and friends played a huge part of my recovery. However, alongside this support I discovered the small recently formed charity, British Acoustic Neuroma Association (BANA). The charity offered me support, information and most of all, an opportunity to speak and meet with other people who shared many of the same experiences.

30 years on, I have decided to mark this important milestone by raising money for this charity so they can continue to provide the much needed support to 1 in 100,000 people who are diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma each year.

I felt I needed to do something completely outside of my comfort zone, so i have chosen to undertake a skydive, on the 24th March. Since my surgery, balance and heights have been things that I have faced difficulty with, so I feel skydiving would be an appropriate challenge (although I am petrified!)

Thank you for helping me to support BANA and for enabling them to continue making a difference to people's lives.
