Exactly 5 months ago, I lost my closest friend to breast cancer. She was 32. I could see in her a zest for life and saw how it was all slowly taken away. A young woman with many dreams ❤️❤️

Somewhere in every corner of India, I can picture girls whose dreams are snatched away not because of cancer but because of untold and unspoken realities.

To honour the memory of my friend 'Kiran' (translates to rays of the sun) I am doing the Ben Nevis trek in winter on 10th January 2025. The Ben Nevis located in Scotland is the highest mountain in the United Kingdom with an elevation of 1345m. The weather in winter makes the trek gruesome.

Though this seems challenging, I see this as an opportunity to introspect on my own strengths as a woman and what defines me.

I have created this fund raising page in memory of my friend Kiran to raise funds for a charity in India called 'Educate her Empower her' that supports young girls who are forced into prostitution (some as young as ten) providing them with an education and thus a promise of a better life.
