Members of Rochdale Harriers will be taking on an epic challenge of running the Pennine Way as a relay over 24 legs. Starting in Kirk Yetholm on the 21st June and finishing in Edale on 23rd June 24, 21 June 2024

Story

Rochdale Harriers will take on this challenge to raise vital funds for this service who do a fantastic job saving lives 24/7, 365 days a year in challenging circumstances.

The Pennine Way is 268miles (431km) with 37,000ft (11,278m) of ascent. It will be a continuous round the clock relay.

Mountain Rescue have supported many our our club events and events that we take part in, so we would like to show our appreciation of the service they provide.

About the charity

A Mountain Rescue Team which is an integral part of the regional and national search and rescue service - providing primary cover in an area of approximately 350 square miles across East Lancashire and parts of Greater Manchester. The Team is made up entirely of volunteers members available 24/7.
