Help Me (and Galloway’s) Cross the Finish Line 🏃♂️👓
Hi, I’m Robin very slightly overweight, permanently tired, and wildly undertrained for what I’ve somehow signed myself up for: The London Marathon.
Now, you’re probably thinking, “Why is this man doing this to himself?” Trust me, I ask myself the same question every time I attempt a jog and feel like I need a nap afterward. But I’ve got a good reason: I’m running to raise money for Galloway’s, an incredible charity that supports people living with sight loss.
Their work is life-changing, and they need our help. So, while they’re helping people navigate life without sight, I’ll be navigating 26.2 miles with minimal training, questionable knees, and a lingering sense of regret.
Why You Should Donate:
• To support Galloway’s in empowering people with sight loss
• To watch me suffer as I hobble through the streets of London
• Because I’ll burn more calories in one day than I have in the last decade combined
Your Donations Will Fund:
✔️ Essential services for people with sight loss
✔️ Rehab, mobility support, and life-enriching activities
✔️ And maybe a few plasters for my blisters…
What I Promise You:
For every donation, I promise to keep putting one foot in front of the other, even when my legs feel like lead, my lungs are on strike, and I’m wondering why I didn’t just stick to watching Netflix.
Help me help Galloway’s – and help me make it to the finish line without the aid of a stretcher. Together, we can make a real difference.
Thank you for your support (and please send prayers for my knees).
