Air Ambulance NI Derry Tower Abseil 2024 · 8 June 2024 ·

On Saturday 8th June 2024, participants will test their head for heights by abseiling 100ft down the iconic Derry Tower, embracing the stunning views across the city and River Foyle, all to raise critical funds for Air Ambulance NI.

Story

On Saturday 8th June 2024, I will be taking on new heights and abseiling down 100ft of the historic Derry Tower building. I am facing this dizzying challenge to help raise funds for the vital life-saving service of Air Ambulance NI - Please show your support and make a donation today!

Since July 2017, the Air Ambulance service has helped save lives all over Northern Ireland. Air Ambulance NI and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) work in partnership to provide the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service , which offers advanced pre-hospital critical care to trauma patients anywhere in the province.

This service operates seven days a week for 12 hours per day, and from its operational base in Lisburn can reach even the furthest areas in approximately 25 minutes.

Those few minutes can mean the difference between life and death, but HEMS ensures swift attendance of emergency medical care for casualties anywhere and everywhere across the regio
