I'm off to join ten other 60 year-olds to cycle across the Alps. A challenging five day tour that takes us from Moutiers to Nice including some of the most iconic climbs:

11th Sept: Brides les bains - Allemont: 109 km; 3,500 m D+ Col de la Madeleine, Glandon.

12th Sept: Allemont - Briançon: 102 km; 2,800 m D+ Alpe d’Huez, Galibier.

13th Sept: Briançon - Barcelonnette: 99 km; 2,500 m D+ Col d’Izoard, Vars.

14th Sept: Barcelonnette - Puget Théniers: 112 km; 2,400 m D+ Col d’Allos, Col des Champs

15th Sept: Puget Théniers - Antibes: 105 km; 2,100 m D+ Col de Féline, Buis, Bleine.

Our team leader and great friend Hugh Bevan is unable to join us this year as he's battling cancer. We have decided to raise some funds for the Royal Marsden who are helping Hugh fight this awful disease - we would be hugely grateful for any donations.
