Story

Historically I have been of the opinion that people who run the marathon are out of their minds, which is why it gives me no pleasure to announce that I will be running in the London Marathon 2025 😫

This is not something I would normally have entertained, but as many of you know it's been a bit of a tough year for the Greggs. We lost our amazing dad, Louie, to a rare and super aggressive form of lymphoma in mid June. Blastoid mantle cell lymphoma can absolutely get fucked.

Dad was a hilarious oddball and absolute legend who's left a massive hole in the life of our family, doing what I can to support other people dealing with this awful disease is a no brainier.

Now, about the marathon itself. It's on April 27th 2025 and its going to be absolutely awful, so I really do need you to give me as much money as possible. My target is to complete the 42.2KM (!!!) in an (extremely optimistic) 4 hours. To make things interesting, I’ll donate an extra £5 for every minute I’m late, up to the 5 hour mark. So, if I stagger across the finish line at 5 hours, that's an extra £300 from me. I really hope my legs hold out, because my wallet may not.

The current goal is to raise at the very least £3141.59 (big up my dads obsession with maths) for the amazing team over at Lymphoma Action. They do incredible work supporting people affected by lymphoma and funding research to find better treatments to help other people dealing with this absolute dick head of a cancer. EDIT- Alright, good work team, lets push those numbers up!

Any sponsorship you can afford will help – whether it’s a fiver, fifty quid or five grand (a girl can dream). Every penny counts and will be appreciated by myself and the lovely people over at Lymphoma action.

Thanks for reading and for any support you can give. As everyone know's my dad was really in to numbers, so lets make this a big one in his honour.
