Story
Later this year myself and a collective of MSMG colleagues are taking on an epic charity trek across the blazing hot desert of Jordan, covering 75km over 4 days to raise funds and awareness for the charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
Update 30-10-2023 - due to the ongoing instability in the area the charity walk is now a 95km walk in Cambodia walking from Siem Reap to Angkor Wat
CALM is dedicated to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by suicide, particularly young men who are at higher risk. It's an incredibly important cause, and I'm determined to raise as much money as possible to help them continue their vital work.
This trek is going to be a real challenge - temperatures can reach up to 50°C, and we'll be carrying everything we need on our backs for the entire trek. The terrain is tough, with steep inclines and descents, and we'll have to go for long stretches without any shade or water sources.
Covering 75km over 4 days, this trek will test my physical and mental endurance to the limit. But it's nothing compared to the struggles that many people face every day, and I'm doing this to raise awareness and funds for those who need our help the most.
If you can spare even a small amount, it would make a huge difference. Every penny counts, and your donation will help to make a real difference in the lives of people who really need it. No amount is too small, so please give whatever you can afford.
Thank you
