Story
In mid-March we'll be riding the Cape Epic mountain bike stage race in support of PSP Association.
My dad, Cliff Warren bravely battled Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), a devastating and as yet incurable neuro-degenerative disease, for a number of years prior to passing last year. Cliff's Herculean courage, strength of will and generosity will be the inspiration and guiding beacon as we take on without doubt the toughest sporting challenge we've contemplated.
PSPA do incredible work supporting people and families living with CBD and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), as well as funding critical research to develop our understanding of these dreadful diseases, to improve the quality of life of those affected and fast-track innovative treatments aimed at halting the progression and ultimately a cure. Together we can stop PSP & CBD in their tracks.
The Cape Epic is a gruelling 8-day MTB race in teams of two, through some of the most rugged and beautiful mountainscape in South Africa's Western Cape. This year's 20th edition takes place from 17th - 24th March over 613km and 16,850m vertical.
We'll need all the good fortune and support (not to mention training!) we can get, and massively appreciate all donations to PSPA in support of victims of and the fight against CBD and PSP in Cliff's memory.
