Story
I am running the London Marathon 2024 to help support this amazing charity. They do incredible work helping to tackle health inequalities in deprived parts of the world. As a GP I know the importance of strong primary health care provision to help support the health and wellbeing of communities, and among the many important campaigns Health Poverty Action run, one is a focus on supporting primary health care professions in remote parts of the world via their 'As One' campaign. But this is only one of the many aspects of their work they undertake to help tackle the social determinants of health that we take for granted in the UK.
On a personal level I am looking forward to the challenge of running the London Marathon again, 21 years after my first effort! Selective amnesia has developed over that period of time, wit me apparently stating in 2003 that 'I will never do that again'.....
Thank you for your generous support of this unique and important Charity.
