Story
I'm pleased to say that I completed my 50th marathon on 7 May (see the update below). Thanks to everyone who have donated to my fundraising page in aid of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity!

I personally know the tremendous effect of receiving help from a naval charity at a critical time.
My father died suddenly whilst I was still at school. He was a career naval man, starting out as Boy Sailor and progressing through to a Commission, and died unexpectedly one night just a few years after retiring from the Royal Navy.
It's not just the financial help that makes a difference. What was more important to me at the time was knowing the someone cares and is able to help and guide. That's why I'm supporting the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC).
Throughout my life I've given back through supporting them directly and through challenges. I've also tried to help raise the profile of the charities and the much-needed work that they do to support service personnel, veterans and their families.
As I'm planning to run my 50th marathon on 7th May, coinciding with the King's Coronation weekend, I thought I'd use the occasion to again support the RNRMC.
Please do take a look at their website (the RNRMC's details are below) to learn about their fantastic work providing valuable help to current and ex-RN and RM people and their families.
