Story
It's that time of year again ... as many of you know, my family runs a foundation in memory of my late-sister Theresa that funds programs in art, music, dance, drama, and recreation for children with special needs. This Sunday I'm walking in the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County's annual "5K Walk, Run, Roll, Stroll" in memory of Theresa. I've set a modest fundraising goal of $500, in the hope I can well surpass that!
Any amount you can give ($5, $10, $15 or more!) would be amazing and much appreciated. CP Nassau is an independent, not-for-profit health agency that serves over 1,500 children and adults on Long Island with cerebral palsy, developmental, and other disabilities. All the money raised through "Team Theresa" goes to support renovations and ongoing maintenance of "Theresa's Fun Place", a fully adaptive playground that serves over 240 children on a daily basis at the Children's Learning Center at CP Nassau (where Theresa went to school). It's a very special place.
