Llamau is the leading homelessness charity in Wales, supporting the most vulnerable young people and women within our community.

On 29th October, I'll be sleeping out in support of Llamau and their Sleep Out campaign. I'll spend a night outside without the comfort and safety of my home, to highlight the dangers LGTBQ+ people face when they are at risk of homelessness.

Llamau run a project in North Wales called Tŷ Pride which is a specialist LGBTQ+ project. It's staffed 24 hours a day, supporting young LGBTQ+ people who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness primarily due to their family’s rejection of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. It is the first provision of its kind in Wales and I'm so proud to be raising funds and awareness for this project.

In my 20s, I spent a year sofa surfing at friends houses and didn't know at the time that this was classed as 'hidden homelessness'. I'm now extremely lucky to be in the position not to have to face the challenges of being homeless and I hope I never have to again.
