We back people to protect rainforest and climate crisis

Story

On the 11th of August my girlfriend Susannah tragically died in a cycling accident whilst we were on holiday in Italy. She was the most extraordinary person I have ever met and we had been having the time of our lives cycling across the dolomites.

Susannah was also an incredible athlete and had been training for the Ironman triathlon in Cascais and would likely have qualified for the world championships. I was planning on supporting but have instead decided to enter the half ironman in her memory. I have never done a triathlon before so this will be a challenge!

I will be raising money for Cool Earth, a charity that backs people to protect rainforest and fight climate change. This money will go directly to a project in Papua New Guinea where they are working with indigenous people to provide sanitation and healthcare to help communities affected by rising sea levels and unsafe drinking water.

We’re Cool Earth. We exist to champion the relationship between people, rainforest and climate. And the best way to do that? Back, support and listen to the people living there and take climate action with Cool Earth.
