The Royal Marines '30 Miler' Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Challenge · 17 April 2024

This year, the 28th October marks the 360th birthday of the Royal Marines Commandos. To celebrate this special birthday, we would love it if you would join us to raise £360 in your own special way - run, walk, cycle, bake - the choice is yours!

Story

Both Robbie Garthland and Kris ‘Fozzy’ Foster joined the Royal Marines on the 31st of July 2001 with 814 Troop - they both passed out for duty on the 28th March 2002.

During this 360th year of the Royal Marines, what better way to mark both this significant milestone and the 22nd year anniversary of completing Royal Marines Commando Training, than by ‘thrashing’ ourselves around the famous Dartmoor 30 Miler route.

However, both being former Royal Marine Physical Training Instructors we had to up the difficulty level by including rounds of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) at each of the water stops! We will both be relying on our previous granite warrior strength to complete this task and offerings to ‘Neptune’ will be made on completion.

The Royal Marines Charity is close to our heart and we’d very much appreciate any donations you can make to this worthy cause.

We will be offering ‘free burpees’ to anyone who kindly donates.....
