Gordon Cowan sadly passed away on 1-4-1997 aged 25 years old

Season ticket holder at his beloved Motherwell FC, qualified referee, keen goalkeeper and golfer but most importantly a gentle giant.

For several years a group of his friends played golf for a memorial trophy in Gordon's memory

In 2004 we decided to start raising money to help others at the Beatson.

We have had many events over the years which includes our Annual Golf Day, Charity Ball, Christmas party night, Walking out of March, Snow Angels, Raffles, Bonus balls and many other events.

We have raised over the years just over a fantastic £518,000 in Gordon's memory which is incredible for a small humble town like Lanark.

Thank you for any donations you can make and Gordon's memory lives on at the Beatson Cancer Charity helping others
